What’s been happening:

Employment as a forester with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry followed after graduation. A wonderful life of 35 years public service, a family with three children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild has been our grand experience. Formal retirement in 1984 has enabled travel to all 50 States, Canada (the Canadian Rockies are the best), Europe, and South America. We have enjoyed a log cabin built with trees we planted in 1960, located near Tidioute PA. and only a 30 minute drive from home in Warren. Two years of Army service was included in the period of employment with eight months assignment as a soils lab technician in Salzburg, Austria which was headquarters of the U.S. Forces in Austria, then a four-power divided nation. My last several years have included serious lament of the state of the world and our nation. Families suffer, resources are consumed, and few citizens appear to recognize the lack of a spiritual dimension in society as a whole. We hope and pray for change and are trying to do our share. Should all be so blessed?
